If your mom or wife likes to garden and you just don’t know what to get her for Mother’s Day, I want to help you out. 🙂 So I thought I’d make up a list of 10 mother’s day gift ideas for gardeners! I have most of the things I’m recommending and would love to give to my mom for Mother’s Day (but she’s not much for gardening). 🙂

So let’s jump in, shall we?

Seeds/things from Botanical Interests

This company made my list of 4 seed companies that I love and I am sure whatever seeds you want to gift, your mom will love. If you’re not sure what she might like, leave a comment below with where you live (so I know the climate) and I’ll comment back with some ideas! I will always and forever recommend Zeolights Calendula to anyone who asks, so there’s one for you. 🙂 Botanical Interests also has these great gift sets that take the guess work out, so check those out too. 🙂 If you feel she might like some new tools or supplies, check those out too!

Harvest Hod from Hoss Tools

(Botanical Interests actually has one very similar, but I have the Hoss Tools one so that’s the one I’ll link. 🙂 I love this thing! You can harvest your veggies and rinse them off right in the basket before you bring them inside. It’s durable, big and so very useful.

Garden Books

I have Jessica Soward’s First Time Gardener: Growing Vegetables book and love it so much! This book was geared toward the beginner gardener, but even if you’re not a beginner you’ll likely learn something from this book. Plus the photos are perfect so it’s easy to look at. I also have Melissa K Norris’s book The Family Garden Planner which is a very useful planner. It has information about calculating how many plants you need to feed your family a certain vegetable for a year. There are calenders to track when you plant, harvest, and everything in between. She even has a list in the back of garden tasks based by zone. (If you don’t know your garden zone, just google “what garden zone is (my zip code)”).

Either one of these books would make a great mother’s day gift idea for gardeners.

Membership to your local botanical gardens.

I received this as a gift one year and it was so fun to be able to go to the gardens whenever I wanted and just enjoy the beauty. The gardens change all the time (just like our own) and its fun to go throughout the year to see the different progressions. Our local Botanical Gardens, Botanica is fantastic if you live around the Wichita, KS area.

This made my list of 10 mother’s day gift ideas for gardeners because it’s something she can enjoy all year long and it gives her an opportunity to spend time you you out in nature. 🙂 Which she wants to do – I promise. : )

Wind Chime for her garden.

I picked up a few at an estate sale late last fall and am so excited to put them out so I can hear the beautiful sounds as I’m working in the garden. Here’s some great ones I found on Amazon for you to check out. 🙂

Garden Gnome

I have this sweet gnome and love it so much. It’s so fun to have a cute something in the garden. 🙂

Embroidery Kit/Pattern

My friend Ashley owns Nel & Jo Crafts and has these awesome embroidery kits and patterns. I think this “grow” kit would be especially perfect for your mom if she gardens. You could either gift her the kit or buy the kit for yourself and make it for her! Ashley’s kits come with awesome, clear instructions and a digital stiching library you can access anytime you want. Plus she has a ton of helpful information on her instagram feed with videos showing different stitches.

Seed Organizer

This organizer is designed for use with photos, but also holds seed packets so well and keeps them dry. Anytime you store you seeds, the most important thing is to keep them cool and dry. Plus, you can just grab one or two smaller sections, take them out into the garden and keep everything neat, clean and organized. The one I personally like is the rainbow colored one. But they also have clear, blue and green if those are more your speed. 🙂

David Austin Rose Bush

I don’t know if you’ve been introduced to this company, but their roses are insanely beautiful! I haven’t had the pleasure of owning one myself, but I sure hope to soon and have heard nothing but great things about them. Their website has a lot of great information and help on growing roses. And you can search for the rose you want based on color, growing zone, and a lot of other factors!

One amazing thing about them, is they have a 5 year guarantee on their roses. Which speaks volumes in my book. In case anyone wants to send me one (lol), I’ll put a few of my favorites below.

Pruners

Last but not least, you can’t go wrong with a really good set of pruning shears. Felco 2 is where I’d start if you want to get your mom a set of shears that will last a long time (and likely something she wouldn’t buy for herself). These have a lifetime guarantee and are made in Switzerland. A very high quality tool to have help you in your garden and a great mother’s day gift ideas for gardeners.
